Overview:

Hello and welcome to the Chess Club @Evergreen

For the 2022-23 school year, EMS PTSA is partnering with “All About Chess” to offer enrichment activities for EMS students. This is a PTSA-sponsored after-school enrichment activity.

Information and Dates:

All About Chess is excited to offer one more year of online chess program at Evergreen Middle School. We take time to get to know our students and provide extra assistance wherever we can. In a typical class, we do a structured lesson, then students practice what we have been learning with games against their peers, chess puzzles, and fun variant chess games. In more advanced classes we can do a simulated tournament and other more advanced activities. Sportsmanship is stressed throughout the class as well as thinking about our actions before we make them and making good choices. The class will come with a gold membership to chesskid.com. There are a lot of great resources we can use on the site that we will go over during class. Any skill level is welcome and we will tailor the class to the student's skill level.
