This is a reminder to everyone that drives to and from Evergreen Middle School to please slow down and pay attention to other drivers and pedestrians, especially our middle schoolers walking to and from school.
We had an incident last week in which one of our students was almost struck by a car trying to enter the parking lot because the car did not yield to the cyclist in the crosswalk. Luckily, she is ok, but shaken up, nonetheless.
We understand that the traffic at EMS can be frustrating, but we must ensure the safety of our students first and foremost. We urge all drivers to be courteous to others and SLOW DOWN.
We also encourage all students who are eligible to take the bus to do so, in order to limit the number of cars driving to and from Evergreen.
Thank you for your cooperation!
The Fundraiser is still open, so if you have not yet had a chance to donate, we would really appreciate it.
The majority of PTSA donations go to support school, student and family engagement, which includes things like classroom grants, teacher stipends (for Eagle Time Planning), scholarships/InvestEd, student planners, WEB leadership, Emergency Prep, Family and Community Engagement, 8th Grade Celebration, advocacy and so much more!
Find LWSD-approved events and opportunities for students and families via Peachjar. Click to view Evergreen's e-flyers.
Hello everyone!
This month, we want to treat our fabulous teachers and staff to a culinary trip around the world. When? THIS Tuesday, March 26th.
We would love your help! Feel free to bring your favorite appetizer, main dish or dessert (or all three of them 🥳) from any country. Click here to sign up!
Please drop off all food items at the front office by 9:30 am on Tuesday, March 26th.
Please also consider donating your time for set up and clean up - it's always needed and appreciated. This is a terrific opportunity to get to know our EMS teachers and staff. In order to do this, you have to be an approved LWSD volunteer.
Thank you for all your continuous effort. This event wouldn’t be possible without your help!

Our school is looking for volunteers to help our hardworking lunch staff. Volunteers would serve food to students and ensure that they are recycling and composting responsibly. This is a great opportunity for parents who want to volunteer in the school. You can volunteer once or on a regular basis!
Each year, Lake Washington PTSA Council awards a variety of scholarships to graduating seniors and to LWSD certificated staff.
Funding for these scholarships has traditionally been provided by the generosity of all PTSAs in the district, the support and success of Council’s scholarship basket auction, and donations from the greater community.
Student scholarships—recognizing achievement, community service and more—assist recipients in their post-secondary education. Scholarships for certificated LWSD staff provide assistance with continuing education at an institute of higher learning or through LWSD Professional Development.
To learn more about these scholarships and how to apply visit: https://www.lwptsa.
Application deadline is March 29th.
Apply to be a volunteer at Evergreen Middle School, or renew your volunteer approval status today! Whether you plan to volunteer with EMS PTSA or as a general school volunteer, your approval within Lake Washington School District (LWSD) must be renewed every two years.
LWSD requires that all volunteers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (both doses of a two-dose series or one dose of a single-dose vaccine), or request exemption. Visit LWSD's website for more information. Apply or Renew Now!
