2022-23 EMS Theater & Studio East ArtReach! Present

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!

Evergreen Middle School and Studio East are excited to bring the classic story of Beauty and the Beast to life here at Evergreen! Studio East Provides costumes, sets, props, a Director, Music Director, and Choreographer...and your family provides the actors, your students, and the parent volunteers, you!

Studio East's ArtReach program is a six-week-long afterschool theater program that can support up to 50 students, grades 6-8. It is a no-cut program - while students who sign up will need to audition to see where they might best fit into the cast, they are all guaranteed a part in the show.  Parts include main roles, supporting roles and the ensemble.

Description of Program-

This program is designed to cover a 6-week period, 4 days a week:

    • 1st week, 2/6-2/10: Auditions, callbacks, casting, read-through after school
    • 2nd-5th week, 2/13-3/17: Rehearsals after school at Evergreen Middle School from 3-6pm
    • 6th week, 3/20-23: Mandatory technical and dress rehearsals at Redmond High School AND
    • 2 performances at RHS:  Friday, 3/24 at 7pm and Saturday, 3/25 at 2pm
    • Parents are responsible for the transportation

*Mask is required during the rehearsal.

Rehearsals will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday after school from 3-6pm. There is no rehearsal on Wednesdays except for the week of Tech/Dress rehearsals. Conflicts are acceptable, except for Tech Week and Performances, but the more intense the conflicts, the less likely a student is to be considered for a large role.
