2007/2008 Awards On May 13th at the Volunteer Tea, the following deserving parent volunteers and school employees were recognized for their exceptional service to students:
Golden Eagle Award This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their continued and dedicated service to students at EJH. These individual are positive role models and go above and beyond the call to encourage the success of our students. Jan Olsen Cindy Swanson Terri Whidby
Outstanding Educator Award This award is to recognize individuals who have done an exceptional job of providing educational opportunities for our students. These individuals are positive role models for our students who go beyond the normal scope of their job to create an outstanding educational environment. Valerie Martin Eric Peterson
Walter J. Ferguson Award When EJH opened its doors in the fall of 1982, Mr. Ferguson was the principal. This award is given in recognition of the vision he had for the school and it is awarded to an individual who exemplifies the high standards that he set. His believe was that learning should be enjoyable and that every student should receive the very best educational opportunity possible. Cindy Buffa Felicia Casolary Greg Jensen
Golden Acorn Award This award is to honor individuals who have consistently demonstrated outstanding service to all children in the Evergreen community. The recipients are also committed to helping children and youth in many areas of the community. Kim Axelrod Judy Russo
Evergreen Junior High PTSA has made a donation in the names of the recipients for Outstanding Educator and the recipients for Golden Acorn to the Washington State PTA Grant Foundation for post secondary education scholarships.
