Every morning, 300 cars travel to and from our school to drop off students.
Put these end-to-end and it's a line stretching over a mile. EMS was never designed for this kind of traffic, and it's evident in the backed up roads, the slow crawl in the parking lots, the close calls with student safety, and the high blood pressure of our school admin team.
Starting after Spring Break, we're asking you to ask yourself … can I skip this solo car trip? Can we use the yellow school buses, carpools, walking, and biking to school whenever possible?
We're serious about this, and we need everyone's input!

This year, the Evergreen PTSA was a proud sponsor of Mrs. Ingram’s new after school culinary club.
Congratulations to Sophia Davidova and Isabella Ramirez, who took 2nd Place in the ‘Savory’ category of LWSD Middle School Culinary Competition!
They participated along with 75 other middle school students from Redmond, Evergreen, Inglewood and Finn Hill middle schools in two categories: Sweet and Savory.
Doughnuts for a cause! Order Krispy Kreme doughnuts and support our PTSA while saving yourself the drive to Issaquah! Orders placed now will be ready for pickup at Evergreen Middle School during our Open House on June 11 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
A dozen donuts will cost $15, with $8 going to our PTSA! Click here to order today!
** A very limited number of donuts will be available the evening of the event, so make sure to reserve your dozen by ordering now! **
The Fundraiser is still open, so if you have not yet had a chance to donate, we would really appreciate it.
The majority of PTSA donations go to support school, student and family engagement, which includes things like classroom grants, teacher stipends (for Eagle Time Planning), scholarships/InvestEd, student planners, WEB leadership, Emergency Prep, Family and Community Engagement, 8th Grade Celebration, advocacy and so much more!
Apply to be a volunteer at Evergreen Middle School, or renew your volunteer approval status today! Whether you plan to volunteer with EMS PTSA or as a general school volunteer, your approval within Lake Washington School District (LWSD) must be renewed every two years.
LWSD requires that all volunteers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (both doses of a two-dose series or one dose of a single-dose vaccine), or request exemption. Visit LWSD's website for more information. Apply or Renew Now!
Each year, Evergreen Middle School PTSA recognizes volunteers and educators who have given outstanding service to our children and school community by presenting them with honors such as the Golden Acorn, Golden Eagle, Walter J. Ferguson, Outstanding Advocate, and Outstanding Educator awards. Click here to read descriptions of the types of awards.
Being nominated by peers to receive an award is a huge testament to our volunteers' and educators' contributions, so we invite you to participate in this special tradition by submitting a nomination form by Friday, May 17th.
If you have questions or wish to email your nomination, please contact president@evergreenptsa.org.
*** We are also still looking for volunteers to help us review award submissions, choose recipients for each category, purchase awards, and help plan the Volunteer Appreciation Award Reception on June 14th. If you are interested, sign up here! Questions? Email amy@evergreenptsa.org. ***
Keep your car shiny and clean while supporting your PTSA!
Each Brown Bear Car Wash ticket costs just $12 (the same price as at the car wash), and $9.50 of every ticket sold goes directly back to our school! All profits will go to support Evergreen programs and services such as staff grants, teacher stipends, staff appreciation, student planners, 8th grade celebration and so much more!
Click here to purchase tickets now! Tickets can be mailed home or sent home with students. Tickets have no expiration date. Car washes make great gifts for friends, family, teachers and yourself!
Our school is looking for volunteers to help our hardworking lunch staff. Volunteers would serve food to students and ensure that they are recycling and composting responsibly. This is a great opportunity for parents who want to volunteer in the school. You can volunteer once or on a regular basis!
